On June 11^th, Mayor Jiang Hongkun held a seminar on the subject of Nanjing Railway Transport Industry in Puzhen after visited their assembly shop. General Manager Liu Wenping of our company was invited to the seminar.

After listening to the speech made by leaders from key enterprises, Mayor Jiang Hongkun requested that everyone should seize the important opportunity when the government is expanding domestic demands and speeding up the railway construction, attain quick development in a short time and create an industrial chain with complete product lines and lead-edge technologies as well. In the seminar, Mayor Jiang stimulated key enterprises to “build up its ambitions to become the best, exhibit a spirit and force of supernormal development and speed up the birth of a group at ten times of billion level in order to enable the railway transport to become a predominant industry in Nanjing at a hundred times of billion level.”

In the seminar Mayor Jiang also pointed out that all the enterprises should step up their efforts of independent innovation, aim at internationally leading level, strengthen the construction of public platform for technology, test and inspection of railway transport and boost the construction of standardization as well with the aim to promote the construction of special talent teams. He added that all the enterprises should pursue an innovation in key fields and core technologies by means of international cooperation, introduction and adaptation in order to make their products more competitive in all respects. Jiang said that enterprises should energetically open up the market, adopt the innovation method of product combination sales and “attacking as a whole”, seize the opportunities in the markets both at home and abroad and actively work on the operating mode of general contractor for railway transport to transform the market opportunities to a driving force of achieving rapid development of railway transport.

Moreover, Mayor Jiang requested all the municipal departments to contribute to create a good development environment for railway industry by optimizing their services, implementing supporting policies and helping enterprises in an active way to open up the market.

Also attended in the seminar is municipal leader Liu Jian, leaders of relevant municipal departments, leaders from key enterprises including Nanjing Puzhen Rolling Stock Works, No. 14 Research Institute and Nanrui Group etc.

The spirit of the speech in the seminar made by the Mayor serves as a guidance for our company when make its action plans of this round of development, take a great leap forward and make a great breakthrough.
