On Mar. 19th 2009, Nanjing Kangni New Technology of Mechantronic Co., Ltd. officially signed with Nanjing Metro Corporation the PSD retrofit contract for Nanjing Line 1 in Xuanwu Hotel, which marks the platform screen door system with Kangni’s own intellectual property right has stepped officially into an industrialization phase and therefore as a milestone means a lot to the development of Kangni’s PSD industry.

According to the finalized project implementation plan, the PSD retrofit for Nanjing Line 1 will start at the end of May 2009 from the retrofit and construction of the first typical station Xiaohang. It’s expected to finish the retrofit of 3 elevated stations within this year and of 16 stations along the whole line by the end of 2011.

To guarantee the normal operation of Nanjing Line 1, the retrofit will be done in an extremely short time every night when the metro operation is stopped and therefore it features absolutely tight schedule, absolutely high difficulty and absolutely heavy task. General Manager Mr. Liu Wenping stated in the signing ceremony that Kangni would carry on its tenacious style during the retrofit of Zhongsheng Station, exhibit its strength as “No. 1 Door in China” in railway transportation, invest on a larger scale, plan in a more scientific way and manage in a stricter manner to secure a “safe management, good quality, controlled schedule” project so that this cooperation can become another successful example for both parties.

General Manager Mr. Zhu Ziqiang headed the team from Nanjing Metro Corporation made up of the whole management members and leaders from General Manager Office, Treaty Office, Economic Development Office, Construction Branch and Operation Branch attended the signing ceremony, while Chairman Mr. Jin Yuangui and General Manager Mr. Liu Wenping headed the team from Nanjing Kangni made up of the whole management members and leaders of major function management dept. and of PSD Business Dept. attended the signing ceremony, which was witnessed and reported by reporters more than 20 municipal or provincial news medias.
